Interestingly, the red lining had a functional intent; German engineers believed red material helped dissipate heat and is a common staple among DAK

It is indeed comfortable

I really like this leash. The color is vibrant and I have experienced zero fading even though I leave it outside. I really appreciate the padded handle and the entire leash is a good substantial weight - I hate a flimsy leash. I would not hesitate to purchase this again if needed.
